Description

Charles I joined oak armchair, the back rest panel carved with a double S-scroll with foliage, above the S-scrolled cresting rail carved to the front and back. The arms joined by column turned legs joined to moulded lower stretcher rails and moulded seat rails. The reverse side of the back rest panel carved with a very simple lozenge design set in a deep moulded panel. The back with a heavy rake, clearly designed for comfort. The left hand arm with deep cut initials E W.
