Description

Charles I joined oak centre table of very fine form, the baluster turned legs joined by moulded lower stretcher rails and above the moulded frieze rails on all sides with the front having a single drawer of the same decoration.

Provenance: Devon private collection.

Victor Chinnery description: Joined centre table with drawer. English oak mid – seventeen century. Most small tables which have drawers like this are actually side tables, but here the decoration is carved all round, permitting this piece to be used in the centre of a room.
