Description

Charles I joined mural livery cupboard, the front with two doors framed with turned spindles. the outer frame carved with chain link decoration typical of West Country work. The side with similar designs.

Inventories frequently note livery cupboards in the bedchamber, and it was no doubt customary for the individual to store his or her livery here overnight: Victor Chinnery Oak furniture the British tradition.
