More information

Charles II joined oak stool, with four column turned legs joined by plain lower stretcher rails and simple moulded seat rails. Stamped SP on upper right hand leg.

Victor Chinnery: Apart from the chest, which has been made over a considerably longer period of time, joined stools must have been by far the most common and familiar piece of furniture in seventeenth century England.
