Charles II joined oak stool, with four column turned legs joined by plain lower stretcher rails and simple moulded seat rails. Stamped SP on upper right hand leg.
Victor Chinnery: Apart from the chest, which has been made over a considerably longer period of time, joined stools must have been by far the most common and familiar piece of furniture in seventeenth century England.
