Description

Elizabeth I joined oak stool, the fluted baluster turned legs joined by plain lower stretcher rails and nulled frieze rails. This is a very fine example in perfect untouched condition.

A near identical example is illustrated in Tobais Jellinek: Early British Chairs and Seats p.218, plate 269, this example sold in Exeter in 1999 for £10,400
