Description

Elizabeth I oak carved overmantel, the three large arcades with leafy decoration above flutted columns being flanked by double S-scrolled uprights with the upper rail carved with intwined Amphisbaena serpents with heads on their tails, being flanked by lions and human masks.

Found in an old condition in an old Exeter family house, restored.
