Description
Elizabeth I oak carved writing slope of large proportions, carved front board with intersecting guilloche, flanking an ornate lock plate. The lid carved with the initials I S and filled with black pitch. Completely original condition, untouched for many years with a dry dark grey surface. Fitted interior missing and bottom edge of lid cut off.
