Description
Elizabeth I / James I carved elm and gilt wood dragon of huge proportions, removed from an upper section of panelling or screen.
Similar work is found on panelling and furniture with the reversed head. The third image shown is a late 16th century weather vane from Newark Park, Gloucestershire.
