Description

Late Gothic oak carved credence cupboard of canted form, with a single door and drawer. The upper section carved with garden scenery with large leaf and vine with a fence and animals, beneath this a similar carved drawer front, flanking the drawer are two outer carved Tudor roses.
It is possible the cupboard was made in Flanders for the English market.

Provenance: Athelhampton house, Dorset
