Henry VIII oak carved linenfold chest of small proportions and with a very dry surface. The four linenfold panels with simple carved details framed and pegged to a boarded construction body. The lock plate with tracery upper section and hasp with original key. A near identical example sold in Christies 24th May 2001, Bramcote House sale, lot 335 for £11,162, this too had a near identical lock plate with tracery top. Illustrated in Chinnery.
