James I boarded and framed oak carved chest, circa 1610. The front framed with three applied arcaded panels, above a series of thin nulling with ornate punched decoration throughout. The body of the chest is boarded with large single boards, retaining original candle box inside. Completely original, with a good dark untouched surface.
