Description

James I joined oak livery cupboard, Leeds, Yorkshire. Carved and inlaid with holly and bog oak, this cupboard is of the best quality and although in the Elizabethan taste with the heavy cup and cover columns, this piece is firmly in the 17th century with the initials I:I and dated 1611.

Original throughout, with only the hinges and escutcheons replaced, superb colour.
