Description

Late Gothic oak enthroned Virgin and Child, by a Flemish master carver. The seated Virgin wearing her jewelled crown with the young Christ in her arms, he is holding an orb. The Virgin with very fine carved hands and drapery.

This large and beautiful sculpture is hollowed out on the back and has a wrought iron fixing to the back.

In perfect original condition with only the Child’s proper right arm missing.
