Description

James I boarded oak box, the front carved with nulled and guilloche decoration and original lock plate. The interior decorated with the original block printed wall paper used to line the box on all surfaces, the subject being the royal arms of King James I and Order of the Garter, surrounded by a formal infilling of flowers based on needlework designs.
