Description

James I joined oak panelled box of rare form. The construction of a normal panelled chest but in miniature designed as a table box. The front with two lozenge panels, twin panelled sides and a six panelled top.

Tobias Jellinek illustrates a similar design in a Somerset chair, Plate 22, page 53 Early British Chairs and Seats 1500 to 1700.
