James I joined oak and carved armchair, Salisbury. The back rest panel carved with a unicorn within an arcade, above this a lunette carved rail with a fan crest. The straight arms joined to the baluster turned legs. The stile and rails carved with a chain guilloche design. Similar example illustrated in Victor Chinnery, Oak Furniture, page 405 Figure: 4:61a
