Description
James I oak carved and inlaid canted buffet with cupboards and pot board, of the very best quality. The main cupboard carved with lozenge designs to the doors and canted panels, with the lower cupboard being flanked by carved S-scrolls and guilloche stiles, above with applied dentils, below with applied and carved mouldings with lunettes, being supported by stumpy cup and cover columns with gadrooned and leafy decoration. The upper canted section with inlaid decoration to the stiles and rails and this too with stumpy cup and cover supports with gadrooned and leafy decoration. The upper frieze carved with lunettes and dentil applied mouldings.
This piece is in superb untouched original condition.
