Description
Charles I oak carved box of large proportions, the front carved with a pair of cherubs entwined in foliage, possibly depicting protecting the Garden of Eden, and dated 1637. Each side with a huge carved serpent beast typical of the Gloucestershire area.
Rare collector’s piece.
