Description

16th century brass alms dish of very rare form, decorated on the reverse with a swirl of 16 gadroons around a central vacant circle, the rim with a band of punch decoration.

Rare collector’s piece.

Note: K. Tiedemann mentions ‘Inverted dishes constitute a rare and largely unknown group’.
