Description

Joined oak chest, in the style of Thomas Dennis, with three botanical carved panel with traces of polychrome flanked by S-scroll and double S-scroll stiles, the lower rail with scrolling wave decoration and a continuous spandrel below, of which is the first of its type known in this group of chests.

The top frieze rail carved with undulating S-scrolls with leafy foliage in-between with original lock plate. Probably one of the finest examples to come to the market.
