Description

Charles II dated chest, the three front carved panels with central rose designs with interlaced and scrolled decoration, the ornate carved stiles and rails with chequer and guilloche designs, the frieze rail carved with botanical scrolls of foliate with the date 1664.

A near identical chest from the same workshop sold in Bonhams Oak sale 19th February 2020 for £6937.50
